Our current Under-14 coach Diarmuid Mooney has offered to deliver a workshop to provide a clear, practical overview of the full range of options available after second level education.

While the CAO and traditional college routes are well known, many families are less familiar with alternatives such as apprenticeships, PLCs, tertiary degrees, further education and training, studying abroad, or taking a planned year out.

The aim of the presentation is to help parents and players understand the post-second level landscape and how different pathways work, how they connect to each other, and how students can move between them over time.

Diarmuid is a Post-Primary and Further Education & Training teacher. Currently working as a Director with the National Council for Curriculum & Assessment having also worked on projects with the National Tertiary Degree pathways and with SOLAS/ETBI in relation to post-school pathways.
